Which printing company should I use?
We recently asked ISTC members if they could recommend a printing company. They recommended a number of companies throughout England. We've summarised these below.
Leeds
"I use Access Plus and have found them cost effective and efficient. They are not actually a printing house but a print facilities management business. This gives the impression that they will be costly but I have found them cheaper than most direct printers as they utilise various companies spare capacity. They can handle most things, including direct mail, storage and call-off. They have branches all over UK. My contact is Julia Rose in the Leeds office 0113 252 9922. She can advise you of the local contact for your area."
Medway
"Multiplex medway - Paul Abson is Marketing manger (tel 07713 315634) - is a largish company They print all our UK manuals and quite a lot of other things as well. Would be well suited to having a sort of JIT arrangement, we have a similar scheme with minimum numbers of items per print run (usually 5 or 10 copies)"
Reading
"We use Digi-2 who are based in Reading. They have a digital press and can handle most things. (We send them PDFs - they send us bound manuals. Works for us.) Contact Ben Norton ben.norton@digi-2.com"
Rugby
"IPH Litho Tel 024 7654 3716 on the other hand is a very flexible small family company able to do very short runs in B&W or spot colour or full colour and a realm of finishing as well as full size high quality work. Not sure of your need as it depends upon volume and other schedules - both are good to deal with."
Sheffield
