About Cherryleaf

Cherryleaf is a technical writing services company formed in 2002 by four people with a passion for (and a unique background in) both technical communication and learning development. Today, Cherryleaf's team works with organisations throughout Europe to help them solve their documentation and communication issues.

Whom we work with

In general, we work with:

  • Project Managers needing to develop technical, user, compliance or training documentation, so they'll be able to assist users who get stuck.
  • Professional technical communicators looking for a partner whom they can call on to provide technical writing resources and Technical Authors, when they need them.
  • Business leaders wanting better communication and compliance in their organisation. They believe the communication lines to staff are not working, and processes are not being communicated or followed well. They want to capture knowledge, produce information more effectively and improve their staff's communication skills.

Our services

Some call us technical communicators, but you could also call us information designers, content strategists, technical authors, courseware developers or technical writers.

Even when organisations decide to write their technical documentation themselves, they still often call upon our help. That's because we offer more than just technical writing services; we offer specialist training and writer recruitment services, too.

Deliverables can include: user guides, online Help, Web pages, video screencasts, animated tutorials, training courseware, wikis, quick reference cards and other ways to assist your users.

He also has a BA in Business Studies and is an Associate of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Ranked the most the influential blogger on technical communication in Europe, Ellis is a specialist in the field of creating knowledge users will love.

Ginny Critcher

Ginny Critcher

Ginny has a background as a skilled trainer and information designer, and is responsible for the development of Cherryleaf's training courses. In addition to her skills in information design, she has over twenty years experience in teaching and training throughout the world.

Ginny also has extensive project management skills and has considerable experience using the main technical authoring tools. Ginny is fluent in Spanish, has an MSc (in Information Systems), a BA (in Spanish Studies) and an RSA TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) certificate. She is Cherryleaf's representative to the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators (ISTC).
