Recruitment Services

If you are looking to hire a technical communicator, courseware developer or copywriter

technical authors

Today, there are many organisations that have poor or missing technical and user information. You may need a professional writer who can capture specialist knowledge and best practice, and then explain it clearly and effectively to the users that need it.

It's a set of skills that can be hard to find – a combination of good writing skills, being able to understand complex technical subjects and then being able to present the information in a way that works.

Cherryleaf provides temporary or permanent development staff with these skills - in authoring, training, copywriting, courseware development and electronic publishing. We have expertise in assessing your particular needs and matching candidates as closely as possible.

Simply contact us by email or telephone. If you can, please state the type of person you want and the salary range. We'll respond by email or phone.

Submitting your CV

To register with Cherryleaf, send your CV, with a covering letter, by email. Our address is at the bottom of this page. We will confirm we've received your details. We will contact you if we have anything immediately available. We can only act on your requirements in the covering letter, so be sure you put down all the relevant information (such as where you can work).

Note: Please start the filenames of your CV and covering letter with your first and last names.

Writing your CV or Resume

We will not change your CV, other than to remove contact details, before sending it out to prospective employers. Your CV will tell them a lot about how good a writer you are. This means that your CV should be as good as you can make it.

  • Your CV is your first chance to demonstrate your writing skills. You must be clear and concise.
  • Most potential employers require us to email CVs, so please send your CV in Word format.
  • Limit your CV to two or three sides of A4 paper, if you can.
  • Don't forget to check your CV thoroughly. Look out for any typographical, spelling and grammatical errors.

Your CV should include at least: Personal Details, Nationality, Education and Training, Employment, Skills and Leisure Interests.

Writing your covering letter

The covering letter should contain information for Cherryleaf about your preferences, e.g. location and salary . We also need to know that, for contract work, you can prove your freelance status. We will not send your covering letter to a prospective employer unless with your express permission.
