Our client is looking for a Technical Author/UX Content writer to work as part of its User Experience team. The Technical Authors in this team focus on improving the customer journey. To achieve this, they develop contextual Help, web-based Help pages, API guides, and a few PDF documents. Your role will be to work on both the end-user and API developer documentation.
The client is a successful software company in the financial sector with staff in the UK, mainland Europe, the Far East, and the USA. It works in an Agile development environment. This means you will be liaising with a broad range of people, including developers, testers, product managers, project managers, the marketing departments, and support staff. You will be expected to take ownership of your own projects, and prioritise your own work across multiple simultaneous projects. This will involve interacting with colleagues based in London and elsewhere.
You must be a graduate, or have equivalent qualifications/experience.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience of writing end-user documentation
- Knowledge of APIs
- Experience of a Help authoring tool or a CMS
- An understanding of single sourcing and version control
