Our client is looking to recruit a Technical Author, on a temporary basis, to cover maternity leave for 12 months starting in January 2026. It’s a part time role of 2½ days per week.
You’ll be joining a Technical Publications team that is responsible for delivering Knowledge Base documentation related to the company’s document management software product. The team produces content for developers, functional consultants, IT infrastructure staff, process owners, and end-users.
This role involves hybrid working: being on-site for initial onboarding, and the occasional meetings; at other times, you’ll work from home. This means you’ll need to be within travelling distance of their offices in either Nottinghamshire or Cambridgeshire. In practical terms, you must be based in the UK.
The role will involve working with other SMEs with a wealth of knowledge on the products and customers, to gather technical details for the content and create new and innovative ideas for presenting the information. Some technical knowledge is desirable.
