Our client is looking for a senior Technical Author to join its small Technical Publications team. The company offers flexible hours (although it is a full-time role) and the option of working from home for part of the week.
The team creates documentation for end users and administrators that enables them to install, configure, and use video communication software and services. You’ll be working closely with Documentation Manager, and they are looking for someone who can work with a variety of development teams, and is flexible in the way they work.
You must have:
- At least 5 years relevant experience as a Technical Author in a software development environment
- Experience of MadCap Flare (or similar).
- The ability to write documentation for specific audiences
- The skills expected in a senior technical writing role. This includes being able to engage with the different stakeholders and manage multiple projects.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Experience of documenting videoconferencing, cloud, or networking technologies
- Experience of writing API documentation
- Experience of scripting
- An interest in the potential of using AI to deliver better outputs and make the technical writing workflow more efficient
