Can we get business enquiries via Tiktok and YouTube?

We’re currently testing whether we can get the attention of prospective customers through TikTok and YouTube.

Both sites are not obvious places for B2B (Business to Business) marketing, but it’s worth bearing in mind that YouTube Shorts are viewed by over 2 billion people every month. There’s a good chance some among them would be a good fit, if the YouTube algorithm can do its magic and we can create content of interest and/or value to them.

We have a number of short length videos scheduled for publishing each week during the summer and into the autumn. We won’t know for a while whether the videos we post will generate enquiries or not. The analytics can tell us the quantity of viewers, but not whether they match the people we’d like to reach.

Based on number of views, it seems like entertaining videos do well on TikTok, but educational videos seem to less effective, unless they are also entertaining or engaging. As a result, we’re posting slightly different content on the platforms.

We’re also posting the videos to LinkedIn, and we’re considering posting them to Instagram as well.

We’d be interested to know if the videos are appearing in your feed. If so, please add a comment below.
