New: 50+ Interactive Practice Exercises Added to Our Technical Writing Course

Screenshot of an interactive exercise titled “Scenario 1: Explaining multi-factor authentication.” Instructions ask the user to order sections for a help topic introducing multi-factor authentication. On the left, four scrambled text blocks read: (1) “After you enter your password, the system asks for the second check before it grants access.” (2) “You already use a password to sign in to your account.” (3) “If you lose your phone, use a recovery code or contact support to reset your sign-in method.” (4) “Multi-factor authentication adds a second check, such as a code from your phone.” On the right, a “Your logical order” column shows Position 1 filled with the MFA definition, while Positions 2–4 are empty placeholders. A score of 0/16 is displayed, and buttons labeled “Check Order,” “Clear,” and “Next Scenario” appear at the bottom.

If you’ve been considering our Technical Author and Technical Writing training course, there’s never been a better time to enrol.

We’ve just added over 50 optional interactive practice exercises throughout the course, designed to help you apply what you’re learning as you go.

Why practice exercises matter

Technical writing is a practical skill. Reading about structure, style, and documentation techniques is a solid foundation, but real confidence comes from doing. The course has always included exercises that delegates send in for feedback and evaluation.

These additional exercises give you the opportunity to put theory into practice in a low-stakes environment, reinforcing key concepts at each stage of the course.

What to expect

The exercises are entirely optional, so you can engage with as many or as few as suit your learning style. You can work through every one or dip in selectively, they’re there to support you.

Each exercise is tied directly to the course material. They are a natural extension of what you’ve just covered.

Who is this course for?

Our technical writing course is suitable for anyone looking to enter the profession, transition from a related field, or formalise skills they’ve already developed on the job. The addition of these exercises makes the learning experience more hands-on and better suited to a range of learning styles.
