About the company
Our client develops popular web-based applications that help people automate tasks without needing to have any coding skills. They have grown to the point where they need to improve and update their knowledge bases, and they are now looking for a Senior Technical Author to join their team.
The company has adopted a Work From Home policy, with most staff based in mainland Europe and Ireland (most are non-native English speakers).
The job role
They are looking for someone who will:
- Revamp the knowledge bases
- Navigation
- Content structure
- Look and feel
- Update the Help content
- Advise on new technical writing software (compatible with Zendesk)
- Lead the migration project if they decided to change their authoring tool
- Write the UI text for the application (using Figma or Crowdin localisation management tool)
- Mentor and support the Junior Technical Author
- Establish good operational practices
- Establish standards and guidelines
- Identify any gaps in the content
- Create and maintain video tutorials
